We suddenly had hope that there was a peaceful way that my husband could avoid the pain of losing himself mentally and physically.  Wendy helped us understand the choice to VSED, and guided us while my husband made the decision.  She led us through the steps to prepare, putting together a team to support my husband and me through the process, and how to share our decision with friends and family.  She was with us every step of the way as an expert, advocate, and friend.  Wendy is one of the most compassionate, warm, and understanding people I have ever met.  But also, VSED requires courage and conviction for the person who chooses it and everyone around them.  Wendy was calm and unwavering in her ability to provide the support and direction needed to guide us, and advocate for my husband when needed.  She gave my husband the gift of peace and comfort, and she gave me the ability to focus on my him and our kids during the most difficult time.  Wendy is amazing, and I am forever grateful that she came into our lives when she did. Jen A.
